chapter 01 - The briefA shop that already knew its story. A brand that hadn't caught up yet.
Before this project began, The Fabled Designs had stationery worth building a proper brand around - hand-finished, literary, distinct from anything else in the wedding stationery space. What it didn't have was a brand and website that made that clear before anyone saw a single piece.
The goal was to build a brand and website with that same level of thought behind it - something for couples who want their wedding stationery to feel like it belongs on a shelf next to the novels they know and love.
The brief leaned into old libraries, ink and parchment, and soft academia vibes. For the lovers of epic stories. A monochrome khaki palette with one blush accent rounding things out and bringing intentional warmth.
The Fabled Designs is a self-directed passion project.
literary · enduring · considered · handcrafted · story-led · keepsake chapter 02 - The visionCouples choosing wedding stationery aren't buying paper. They're deciding what kind of story their wedding gets to tell.
oneLiterary, not fairytale.
The brand speaks to people who've actually read the books, not people who like the idea of them. Every reference points to something real - a specific novel, a specific line - rather than a generic "happily ever after."
twoTimeless over trend.
Every visual decision was made with a single, restrained palette in mind. Nothing that leans on a current wedding colour trend, and nothing that will feel dated in two years.
And whether the person making it actually understands what they're asking for. The Fabled Designs couldn't present as a stationery shop - it had to read as somewhere couples go because they already think in stories. Three decisions came out of that.
threeCraft before story.
The website leads with the stationery itself, so that by the time someone reads a word about the maker, they already understand the quality of the work.
chapter 03 - The buildThe brand came first. The website was built to carry it properly.
From there, the brief translated into a visual and structural approach that felt both considered and functional - ensuring the design didn't just look right, but supported the way couples actually browse and choose wedding stationery.
The brand direction was refined to feel literary and restrained, drawing from a world of paper, ink, and the unhurried pace of a well-kept book collection.
The website structure was built for clarity and flow from the outset, with the browsing experience and enquiry path considered from the first decision, allowing visitors to move through the collections with ease and arrive at the enquiry form already understanding what they're choosing.
Every element was designed to feel cohesive, considered, and aligned with the level The Fabled Designs is stepping into.
chapter 04 - The aretta effectA brand that matches the level the business is already working at.
The website now does the work the founder was having to do on every call.
Aligned enquiries
Couples arrive already understanding the value, the process, and the investment involved. The conversation starts at the right level.
A pricing floor that holds
The brand makes the work feel as considered as it is. Pricing stops being the friction point.
A founder who shares the link
No more hesitating before sending the link. The brand matches the room and opens the right doors.
Visibility that isn’t borrowed
Less reliance on word of mouth, referrals, and other people's platforms. A presence that works for the business, not the other way around.
