7 Instagram Carousel Posts Every Wedding Pro Needs (and most never make)

If you're a wedding pro using Instagram to attract couples to enquire and book, then this one's for you.

There are some very specific posts that do some real heavy lifting for your wedding business on Instagram. They are the ones that make a couple stop scrolling, feel something, and think ‘that's the supplier’ is definitely for us.

And I am going to walk you through them with a little extra help to get you started.

Hey, btw! I’m Zoe from Zoe Loves Creating. And I am an Instagram strategist for wedding professionals helping them get found and get booked.

Here’s why these 7 Instagram carousels are so important for your wedding business

The wedding industry is not short on content. Wedding days have content creators, videographers, and photographers. But most wedding pros rely way too heavily on these assets.

These images and videos don’t show them, don’t tell their story, don’t summarise their services, and don’t answer questions that every couple wants answered.

Because what most wedding pros totally miss… couples aren't just researching your work. They're researching YOU too!

And Gen Z couples especially (and increasingly millennials too), don't enquire and then decide. They decide, then enquire. So there is a lot of saving, sharing, and screenshotting happening first.

By the time someone lands in your inbox, they've already stalked your grid, read your captions, watched your reels, and formed an opinion.

So if your feed is full of beautiful wedding photos with no face, no voice, no story... you're invisible in the research stage. In fact, you're just another supplier being tagged in someone else's content.

The wedding pros who stand out aren't necessarily the ones with the best work. They're the ones who show the person and business behind the work.

So here are seven carousel posts help you do exactly that.

Nº.01 - Your Founder Story

This is content gold and always drives good engagement. How did you get here? What made you choose this industry, this specific corner of it, this life? Did it happen by choice? Did it happen randomly? Your origin story is one of the most compelling things you can share, and most wedding pros never tell it because they don't think it's relevant. It is!!! So, where did it all begin?

Hooks to get you started

  • Here’s part of my journey that I don’t usually talk about…

  • I want to tell you something about how I ended up here (because it's not the usual story)...

  • [X] years ago I was a [job before]. Let me tell you how I wound up being a [your job now]...

Nº.02 - Why You Love What You Do

Your founder story comes first. But this is such a good development from that. What is it about weddings, and your specific job in the industry, that still gets you? Why do you love it? Say it out loud in a post. Couples want to feel your passion and excitement for what you do because they want that reflected in their day too.

Hooks to get you started

  • There's a reason I still cry at weddings. And it's not what you'd expect…

  • After [X] years in this industry, here's what still gets me every single time...

  • Can we just agree that weddings are kind of magic?! Here's why I think so...

Nº.03 - A Personal Intro

Couples aren't just hiring a service… they're hiring YOU. And I don’t mean ‘you, the business owner’. I mean your favourite Netflix show, podcast, and holiday destination. It’s what makes you different, and what connects you to your ideal couple. If a couple landed on your profile right now knowing nothing about you, think about what would you love them to know? They're great content conversation starters.

Hooks to get you started

  • Hey, I’m [your name]

  • Stop. If you're new here, this one's for you…

  • Whether you have been following me for 5 seconds or 5 years… welcome. Start here…

Nº.04 - Your Favourite Questions to Ask Couples in a Consultation Call

Share the one or three questions you always ask in that first call you have with couples. It shows how you think, how you work, and what you care about... without giving a single trade secret away. Couples love to see what to expect after they have enquired. This gives them a great insight.

Hooks to get you started

  • The [3] questions I ask every couple before we even talk about pricing...

  • A behind-the-scenes look at my favourite [3] questions I ask in my consultation calls so every couple gets a proposal bang on for what they want

  • Want to know what separates a good consultation call with a [your job] from a brilliant one? These [3] questions...

Nº.05 - How to Work With You

Couples shouldn't have to hunt for this if they land on your Instagram. A clear, warm, easy-to-understand post about your services, your process, and how to get started does more work than most wedding pros realise. Then make this post one of the pinned posts at the top of your grid. You can say this in your bio giving a clear CTA to head to one (or a few) links.

Hooks to get you started

  • Couples shouldn't have to hunt for how to work with me. So here it is...

  • The DMs I get most often are some version of ‘I don't know where to start.’ So let me help with that...

  • No faff. No guessing. Here's exactly how we can work together...

Nº.06 - A Wedding Story

Now, I don’t just mean a carousel of photos from one of your weddings. I want (and your audience wants) to see the story behind them. The couple, your first call, the planning, what went down on the day, a problem that you might have had to overcome, a moment that stuck with you. Then drop in some of their gushy testimonial words right at the end. This is the content that helps future couples see themselves in your work. It's specific, it's human, and it's the kind of thing that makes someone think ‘I want to work with them for my wedding’.

Hooks to get you started

  • [12 months ago] I met [couples names]. What a journey it was. Here’s how it played out…

  • [Couple’s names] reminded me exactly why I do this...

  • Here’s what it really looks like to have me on your supplier team at your wedding…

Nº.07 - Client Testimonials

You've got them. In fact you’ve got tonnes of them. They're sitting in your inbox, in your WhatsApp chats, and in your DMs right now. Screenshot them and get them out as a dedicated post. Social proof is one of the most powerful things you can share, and it costs you nothing except the five minutes it takes to post it. But, remember, it’s not just a ‘post the words’ post. It can work harder than that with the right intro.

Hooks to get you started

  • I have hundreds of messages like these and every single one makes me feel so warm and fuzzy inside…

  • Before you scroll on, you might wanna read these…

  • I could write a thousand words trying to convince you. Or I could just show you these…

And here's what makes these posts even more powerful

Once you've created these seven posts, you haven't just ticked a box. You've built a content foundation.

Every single one of these can be repurposed in different ways.

And I have THE perfect guide to teach you how to take 1 post and turn it into more than 20 other posts.

Easy! And every wedding pro needs more ‘easy’ in their life. Click here to get the free guide.

They could be turned into a reel, a caption-led post, a listicle, a story series, a talking-head video. Your founder story alone could fuel ten different pieces of content across a whole year.

And in peak season, when you're working weddings back to back and Instagram feels impossible, then these posts become your lifeline.

And before you say, ‘but isn’t that boring for my audience?’. The answer is ‘no!!!’

Repeating a message isn't lazy. It's a strategy. Most couples won't see it the first time. Or the second. The ones who book you will have seen your story, your values, your face… multiple times, in multiple formats, before they ever hit send on an enquiry.

These seven posts don't require a fancy shoot, a new Canva template, or a big time investment. They just require you being willing to show up as yourself.

And if your Instagram isn't doing that for you yet, then that's worth fixing.
